Little Black Pig & Sons is available for private functions. Catering for a maximum of 44 people, we can cater to all types of parties or wine lunches/dinners.

For groups larger than 8 people we suggest a sharing chef-selected menu, allowing you to experience more of the menu and enjoy your evening in a relaxed environment. We can cater for all kinds of functions and parties, from birthday celebrations to engagement parties, christenings and wedding parties.

Our philosophy is that no guest shall leave our venue hungry, so rest assured there will be enough food for all of you on your special occasion.

Our set menu will mirror dishes found on the menu at the time of your event - what is in season in the great state of Victoria and around Melbourne. You and your guests will experience the inspiring tastes of modernist cooking techniques and the very best of locally sourced, foraged and home grown ingredients. 

All of our dishes are cooked to order, so any dietary requirements for you or your guests can be catered for. Please advise us of any dietary requirements when placing your booking to ensure that we can accommodate.

Join Ash Bros Seafood as they present the best seafood our beautiful coastal towns have to offer, cooked in traditional Italian style at Little Black Pig & Sons.  Wrap your tentacles around a detailed account of the origin of your meal from Ash Bros Seafood, one of Melbourne's oldest and most experienced seafood suppliers, first established in 1959.  Each course will be matched with wines.

Ash Bros uses fishing techniques such as hand lines, small pots and individual traps. They supply every kind of seasonal, sustainable sea creature you can imagine, including fresh water black eels, Geraldton kingfish, hapuka, sashimi grade (which means the fish is the highest quality available, and approved to eat raw), Clarence River jumbo king prawns,  Southern Calamari ( Καλαμάρι ), Port Lincoln calamari, king george whiting, Portland king dory, and pallidus octopus.

Sit back and enjoy a special produce-driven Italian menu showcasing the best of Australia's seafood, with matching wines.

Since relocating to Yarravile in 2011 from the Footscray Wholesale Fish Market, Ash Bros Seafood have been established as one of the most distinguished and highly trusted Seafood Wholesale Suppliers in Victoria.

Experience the wonder of professional cooking. Sit at a shared table and watch your food being prepared. Interact with head chef David Lakhi as he talks you through the preparation of a selection of dishes, prepared with the best of local, foraged and home grown ingredients.

This event is open to a small number of guests once a month on a Tuesday or Thursday evening. The date of each month's Chef's Table will be revealed in the last week of the month prior. 

You can rest assured that you will not go home hungry, with each guest receiving a selection of antipasti, pastas, mains and desserts, as selected by David. Please ensure you specify any dietary requirements when booking so that we can accommodate.

Chef's Table events are open to eight to ten guests each month, with a minimum of eight required for a booking.

Sit back and enjoy the anticipation of two chefs battling out their best dishes in a collaboration dinner.

Our Guest Chef dinners are community-based events where you and your guests will mingle with other parties, enjoy canapes and Prosecco on arrival, and a five course meal with matching wines. Our Guest Chef of the evening will collaborate with David Lakhi of Little Black Pig & Sons to bring you a wonderfully exciting menu with new dishes and unusual flavours to make an extravagant, yet private evening.
