Schwarz Wine Co has become one of the Barossa Valley's most respected independent wineries, producing wines that speak honestly of vineyard, grower and place. Founded by third-generation Barossa farmer and winemaker Jason Schwarz, the winery is built on long-standing relationships with local growers and a commitment to sustainable farming practices that protect the region's vineyards for generations to come.
We are delighted to welcome Jason Schwarz on Thursday 27 August for a one-night-only evening celebrating the wines of Schwarz Wine Co alongside a bespoke five-course menu by Chef & Owner David Lakhi.
Raised on a mixed farming property outside Bethany, Jason's connection to the land runs deep, shaping a winemaking philosophy grounded in authenticity, stewardship and respect for the people behind the fruit.
The evening showcases some of David's favourite winter ingredients, from South Island New Zealand hapuka and chargrilled quail to handmade pappardelle ripiene with a rich carbonara filling and freshly shaved truffles. The menu culminates with Aylesbury duck paired with one of Schwarz Wine Co's flagship Shiraz wines, before a decadent chocolate flan with whipped ricotta brings the evening to a close.
On the night, Jason, alongside Little Black Pig & Sons chef and owners David and Emilia Lakhi, will guide guests through five wines and matching courses in the Tuscan Room at Heidelberg's Little Black Pig. As with all wine dinners at Little Black Pig & Sons, the evening will conclude with our much-loved tasting game, where one lucky guest will take home a special prize.
