Yumbah x Brackenwood Wine Dinner

with vineyard owner, Damon Nagel

at Little Black Pig & Sons.

Australia’s coastline is home to some of the world’s most pristine waters, and some of its most exceptional seafood.

For this one-night-only dinner, Little Black Pig & Sons brings together Yumbah Aquaculture, Spencer Gulf Kingfish, Ash Bros Seafood and East 33 Oysters - producers who represent the very best of Australian seafood, defined by purity, sustainability and a deep respect for place.

From the cold, nutrient-rich waters of South Australia’s Spencer Gulf, where kingfish are raised in open ocean conditions, to wild abalone from Victoria and blue-eye trevalla from Tasmania, this is a menu shaped by provenance. Each ingredient tells a story of its environment - clean waters, careful handling and a commitment to quality that begins long before it reaches the kitchen.

Five courses will be paired with wines from Brackenwood Vineyard, a biodynamic estate in the Adelaide Hills. Founded by owner Damon Nagel, whose early career as a sommelier in Adelaide and London shaped his approach to wine, Brackenwood is defined by minimal intervention and a deep respect for vineyard and site. Under vinyard owner Damon Nagel, the wines express both tradition and curiosity, from classic varieties to less common plantings such as Gamay and Barbera, all produced with minimal additions and a focus on purity.

Join us at Little Black Pig & Sons on Thursday 23 April for an evening that celebrates the relationship between land and sea, and the producers who bring both to the table.

Wines will be presented throughout the evening by Damon Nagel, Brackenwood Vineyard Owner, offering insight into Brackenwood’s biodynamic approach and the philosophy behind each bottle, while Little Black Pig & Sons Chef & Owners, David and Emilia Lakhi, guide you through produce-driven, instinctive courses in the Tuscan Room at Heidelberg’s Little Black Pig.

As with all wine dinners at Little Black Pig & Sons, the evening will conclude with our much-anticipated options game, where one attentive guest will take home a special prize so the party can continue at yours.
